I Got Nailed And I Liked It
Updated: Jun 4
So I recently went on a weekend retreat where I had met a woman that turned me on to an amazing product in more ways than one. I was introduced to color street nail polish strips. What did you think I was talking about? That’s a totally different blog you dirty dog… lol
So anyway, Color Street is an amazing company that was founded by a man named Fa Park when he saw a woman attempting to paint her nails in the back seat of a taxi cab and decided to come up with an easy-to-apply, mess free nail polish strip that would give you a salon quality manicure anywhere in minutes! These strips are 100 percent real nail polish that have a base coat, color, and top coat all in one product and are so easy to apply. Who doesn’t love having their nails done, right?
I have never really been a fan of painting my own nails. Not only do I have a shaky hand but I don’t find it to be worth my time since any polish I've used in the past immediately chips from washing and sanitizing my hands so much at work. There was also a time that I had tried gel polish manicures because of how much longer they lasted as opposed to regular nail polish. But my nails began to crack and split at the tips. I really missed having pretty nails. So I was immediately attracted to this product after wearing the samples that were placed on my ring and pinky fingernails and witnessing for myself how long the polish lasted without chipping.
I purchased and applied my very first full set after my sample had lasted for almost two weeks and was pleasantly surprised at just how easy it was to remove the old polish. I’m not exactly the crafty type so the easier something is for me the better. What’s even more exciting is that there isn’t any dry time, smudges, or streaks. These strips are pretty flexible and can be stretched for the perfect fit. There are so many gorgeous shades and patterns to choose from that I find myself changing them before I need to.
I decided to become an Independent Color Street Stylist after learning more about the company. I love that the products are made in America and how the Color Street Foundation gives back to charitable organizations that provide research and support for childhood cancer, Alzheimer’s awareness, animal rescue, military support and other important causes. I’m proud to be connected with such an amazing company and excited to share this part of my voyage with you. The biggest part of my journey is self-care. I enjoy working on myself spiritually as well as doing little fun things that make me happy.
Self-care is especially important for us during this crazy time in our lives. Most of us are staying safe in our homes and unable to escape for a little much needed "me time." Since we are unable to visit our favorite salons for a manicure or pedicure I thought I'd share my love for this product with you to give you some options that might bring a smile to your face while adapting to a temporary new way of living. We are going through something that we had never seen coming and have fallen away from our normal day to day routines. It's so important for us to do the little things that help us to stay positive.
Be sure to do something special for yourself on a daily basis that makes you happy and brings joy to your life. Try putting on some relaxing music while taking a nice hot bath with epsom salts and therapeutic essential oils. Read, exercise, watch a movie or start your spring cleaning. Do all those little self-care things that you never seem to have time to get done and if having your nails done is something that's missing from your life you can "get nailed" here and give Color Street nail polish a try for yourself. You won’t be disappointed! Stay healthy my friends.
